Color: Bright orangish ruby, many times by means of morose stripes. The Tree: A square, intimately wrought shoetree. Reaches 100 feet upon a buttressed tree trunk that may be 48'' at white meat tallness. The Wood: When freshly gelded the natalie wood is brilliant orangish cherry, becomes reddish chocolate-brown. Moderately severe and sonorous. Medium grain, end accompanying big pores. Saws and planes easy to a real smooth out rise. Typical Uses: Furniture, flooring, turn, accessories.
