Add a Table Saw with a Router Table Step by Step

Step 1

You can start with measuring the router taking in account the side handles. Once you have measure the base in both directions now you need to measure the dimensions of the extension table.  You need a drill, a jigsaw, measuring tape, wood glue, screws, clamps and sandpaper.

Step 2

Now mark the center of the extension table. Now you need to mark the center of this center and it should be measured. Now you need to cut the frame which would be according to the dimensions of your extension table. But it would definitely include the marks you have already marked.

Step 3

Now you need to cut the frame. After you have cut the different parts of the frame you need to glue them together to put it together. Keep in your mind before cutting the frame with the help of a jigsaw that you need to cut a rebate for the switch and slots for the sliding meter gauge on each end.  After doing both of these activities with the help of a jigsaw and a table saw now you can finally fix the frame with the help of flat head screws.

Step 4

Now you need to fix it under the table so you have to drill holes through the frame.  After fixing it up you can place your wood router. In this way both the fences either with the router table or with the table saw can be used for extensive work. As you already have the router table set up so you can easily set the table saw under your working table which would give you a lot more room.

Conclusion

To use the table saw and the router table in a small place you can use the method of attaching the table along with the router table. In this way it would be pretty much easier for you to use both the machines which can be extremely helpful in performing any kind of wood work.
